Since 1982, the main emphasis of the Kiwanis Pavilion has been the care of people with dementia. We provide care through all stages, from the earliest to the most advanced. Our goal is to create a warm, home-like atmosphere of understanding and support.
The Kiwanis Pavilion is accredited through Accreditation Canada.
The Kiwanis Pavilion is owned and operated by the Oak Bay Kiwanis Club Health Care Society. The Board of Directors provide governance to the Kiwanis Pavilion. You can contact the Board Chair, at board@obkp.org for further information about the Society.
The Board and Staff believe we should treat each other, our residents, families, volunteers and stakeholders with honesty, respect, dignity and integrity. The elected volunteer Board of Directors consists of members of the public with a variety of professional and non-profit board experience, and members of the Kiwanis Club of Oak Bay. The Kiwanis Club of Oak Bay has been serving the community since 1947 as one of the most dynamic service clubs in the Greater Victoria area.
The Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion Foundation was established in 1989 as a means for generating and directing donated funds in support of the Kiwanis Pavilion residents. In recent years the Foundation has funded a variety of enhancements, including, but not limited to:
